About Eric:

Eric has been chasing and mapping rare plant and animal species and studying their habitat relationships across seven states in the Pacific Northwest and Hawaii for the last 12 years since earning his B.S. in Environmental Science from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1997. During that time he has worked for 5 different state and federal agencies and as a research assistant for several universities. In 2007 he joined the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife as a wildlife biologist where he is part of the research team working on an experimental study assessing the impacts of forest practices on headwater stream systems and their amphibian communities.

Eric has been attending SNVB meetings regularly since his first meeting in Hood River in 2002 and he has been the editor of the Murreletter since 2008. His goals as a member of the SNVB board include increasing membership participation and readership by continuing to improve both the newsletter and website. Send him an email or come find him at the next meeting as he would love to hear your ideas!
