She obtained her B.Sc. (Biology) from the University of Ottawa in 2004. Her undergraduate thesis focused on the effects of habitat loss on endangered species recovery and on the effectiveness of the protected areas network in Canada at conserving species at risk. Isabelle recently obtained her M.Sc. (Forest Sciences) in the Centre for Applied Conservation Research at the University of British Columbia. Her thesis focused on the effects of forest fragmentation on the movement patterns of Western Toads. As an environmental consultant, Isabelle worked on mining projects in Northern BC, amphibian disease in Indonesia, urban development in southern BC and Vancouver Island. She is currently Environmental Lead for the BC division of Canada’s largest pure-play renewable energy company, Canadian Hydro Developers. In her spare time, Isabelle loves to stay active in the outdoors, play numerous sports, travel, hike and camp.
